Q: What is your cancelation policy?

A: Sculpt and Shape Private Training

  • We have a 24-hour SCULPT and SHAPE cancellation policy. At Fitness Artist LLC, we understand that schedules can be hectic, and some appointment cancellations or rescheduling may be unavoidable. However, in order to respect both yours and our trainer’s time; we ask that you cancel or reschedule any appointments before 24 hours of the start time. If you cancel your reservation without 24-hour notice, a session will be deducted from your program. Canceled sessions cannot be switched within the 24-hour window in MindBody. If you need to cancel a reservation, please call the Fitness Artist LLC phone line at 518-497-5440
  • In the case where a SHAPE client cancels without 24-hour notice, the other client in the exclusive group will be given the option to train without him/her. If they so choose to do so, they will be charged $40 for a Private Sculpting Session.

A: Sweat Group Class Training

  • We have a 4-hour class cancellation policy. Clients can cancel up to 4 hours before your class start time. There will be a $10 late charge for all cancellation requests without a 4-hour notice. Please log in to the MindBody app if you need to cancel. If you have any questions, please call the studio at 518-497-5440.
  • Classes cannot be switched less than 4 hours in advance of the start of class. However, you may show up as a walk-in for another class that same day and if a spot is available, it’s yours.
  • If a class you’d like to take is full, we highly recommend putting yourself on the waitlist. In order to do so, you must purchase a class or series. If you do not get a spot in the class, the class credit will be returned to your account. If a spot opens, you will be added to the class and receive an email confirmation.
  • To check your waitlist status, log in to your account, select My Info and click My Schedule. If you got into the class it will say “WAITLIST UNCONFIRMED.” If you do not want this class, be sure to remove yourself or notify us and we’ll cancel your reservation.

Q: Is the first session free?
A: Yes. The first session is on the house! We are very confident that you will see the awesome benefits that Fitness Artist has to offer. During your first session we will give you a tour of the studio, find out your goals and how to obtain them, and bring you through a brief assessment/workout to see what your fitness foundation is. We also offer a free week of SWEAT Group Training Classes for all new clients.

Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: Yes, we do. We can set up payment plans for the packages over the course of the package be it weekly or monthly payments.

Q: How do you pair me up with my trainer?
A: We pair you with trainers based on many factors such as your goals, aspirations, male or female preference, current fitness level, and who we feel you would connect with based on your personality.

Q: What if my trainer isn’t a good fit?
A: If you don’t feel your trainer is a good fit, don’t fret! We have an arsenal of amazing trainers at your disposal. While we stand by each trainer’s expertise and credentials, we know that people connect with people on different levels and this is a personal experience. You deserve a trainer who brings out the best in you! All you have to do is contact us right away and we will not rest until we find your personal fitness hero!

Q: Do you offer refunds?
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer refunds. Packages are offered at discounted prices to benefit our clients. Packages are valid for up to 6 months after purchase.

Q: What if I want to cancel my package?
A: You may cancel your membership at any time for the following reasons:

  • Medical: If your doctor finds you medically unable to work out for more than six months, we will just need a letter from your physician. They do NOT need to give us specifics, just their medical opinion that you are unable to work out for at least six months. You may deliver this note in person to a staff member of Fitness Artist and fill out a cancellation form, or you may send the doctor’s note with your request that your membership be canceled to Fitness Artist- 1581 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY, 12065. Please include your most recent contact information in case we need to follow up with you
  • RELOCATION: If you relocate more than 25 miles away from the facility that you committed to (1581 Route 9, Clifton Park Fitness Artist or 644 New Loudon Rd, Latham) you may cancel your membership with proof of relocation, such as a utility bill, lease or deed to a house, or a letter from your human resources department stating you have been relocated to another region.
  • PREGNANCY: If your doctor feels you are medically unable to use the studio during your pregnancy, you can request a medical freeze for up to nine (9) months. You must provide a doctor’s letter at the time of requesting a pregnancy freeze.

Q: Do you offer Child Care?
A: Yes, we do! We offer complimentary Child Care for all Fitness Artist Clients. Checkout our Child Care hours HERE

Q: Are classes unlimited?
A: Yes, we offer a SWEAT Unlimited Class Membership.

Q: How are you different than going to the gym?
A: We pride ourselves on being different than a gym. Trust us, we don’t enjoy going to the gym either! Fitness Artist offers SWEAT group training classes but also private one-on-one and closed private group training. We offer complete privacy in order for you to feel you can work out in a non-intimidating environment. We also provide our clients with as much coaching as needed to obtain their goals.

Q: What is your community involvement?
A: We are committed to community improvement and are always looking for ways to contribute and give back. We participate in events and provide donations as well as try to raise awareness for causes. If you have an organization you’d like us to contribute to please contact us.

Q: Do you offer nutrition plans?
A: Of course, we do! We are here for all of your wellness needs! We offer customized nutrition plans based on your dietary needs and goals. Check out our Palate Nutrition Program Options

Q: In the event of a snowstorm, will I still be charged?
A: Your trainer will communicate with you the day prior to discuss rescheduling options. We don’t want you to sacrifice your safety to workout. After all, your health and safety come first!

Q: What if I’m late to my session?
A: In a perfect world, time wouldn’t matter. Unfortunately, our trainer’s schedules are based on a very strict clock as we serve clients back-to- back. Respecting client’s time is taken very seriously. Sitting in a waiting room at the doctor’s office can be incredibly time consuming and aggravating. With this in mind, we do our best to make appointments start and end promptly.

Q: Can I train at both locations?
A: Absolutely! We pride ourselves in being very accommodating for our clients. Whatever works for your schedule, we will make happen!

Q: Can I train with different trainers?
A: Of course! In fact, we encourage it. Each trainer has such great certifications and specializations, why limit yourself to one? We want you to get as many benefits as you can from being part of our company and training with our diverse team!

Q: Do you have changing rooms?
A: Both locations are equipped with private changing rooms and showers.

Q: I’m new to exercise; do you have classes that are for beginners?
A: We have classes and trainers for everyone. We serve clients from every walk of life in any stage of their fitness journey. We have classes for the complete novice all the way to training the professional athlete.

Q: Do you allow clients to train without instruction?
A: No. All classes are instructed by one of our fitness professionals. We take your health and safety very seriously. There is no open gym where you can freely use our equipment. We do however, have cardio rooms that clients can freely use without staff at no additional costs.
