Kristen Gil

Owner/ President & Registered Dietitian

Kristen is the owner and president, as well as the head of our nutrition program. She is a Registered Dietitian and a Certified Diabetes Educator. Kristen currently works with Fitness Artist members who are seeking custom nutrition planning. She has taken her passion and molded it into a platform for performing very challenging but important work. 

Kristen also works at Albany Medical Center in outpatient pediatrics, her primary role is providing medical nutrition therapy and diabetes education for those who have endocrine, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, rheumatoid, nephrology, infectious diseases and many other serious conditions. She also provides help by educating parents and children as well as strategically structuring the diets of patients with the most optimized nutrition for their conditions.

 

As a Registered Dietitian, Kristen has been able to help countless Fitness Artist members and families over the last 11 years with her firsthand knowledge.

 

In addition to her busy life, she is a proud mother of 2, a devoted wife, and a continual fighter for a cure for type I diabetes.

 

Kristen’s credentials include:

  • Masters of Science in Applied Nutrition

  • Registered Dietitian (RD)

  • Certified Dietitian/Nutritionist (CDN)

  • Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE)

Travis Gil

Certified Fitness Trainer and Founder

Travis is the Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Fitness Artist.

In 2005, Travis became a certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). His client base grew quickly and his love for his clients was strong. After working in the industry for 5 years, he noticed a need for a more personalized approach to fitness.

In 2010, Fitness Artist was founded in a one-room studio, unlike the dimensions of his bedroom. And although the Fitness Artist started small, it quickly blossomed as a thriving business. In two years, Travis had to pack up and move to a larger location to accommodate the demand. He found that at 1581 Route 9 in Clifton Park, which is still home to Fitness Artist today. 

Travis Gil’s mission is to create the ultimate unrivaled product and service that he feels the world needs. This mission hinges on the fact that the majority are unhealthy and don’t have the proper guidance and motivation to physically and mentally turn their lives around for the better. 

When it comes to Travis Gil’s goals in the future, he feels this journey has just begun, and he and his team will continue changing lives for the better.

Darren Oropallo

Darren knows that fitness should be exciting. He also understands that most trainers don’t pump enough life into their programs, and as a result, clients are either left feeling underwhelmed or unmotivated to put their best effort forward. You can bet that you will work hard, but don’t worry; it will be a lot of fun in the process.

Tom Burritt

Tom Burritt has loved living an active life for as long as he can remember. If he wasn’t playing football, he was practicing karate. He was an avid weightlifter as well. Logically, being as entrenched as he was in the competitive realm of sports, Tom started competing professionally as a powerlifter. Tom mostly likes to train our clients on how to keep in shape, prevent injury, and maintain a healthy body.

Jeanette has a diverse background specializing in strength & conditioning, corrective exercise, balance & stability training, TRX training and fitness yoga.

Jared DeGroff

Jared has had his fair share of ups and downs when its come to fitness. From having to loose weight to play sports in High School, Jared started his fitness journey a long time ago. He knows that fitness doesn't happen overnight and the main goal is to keep being better than you were yesterday.  Jared's primary focus is Strength, conditioning and weight loss, but he is always open for a new challenge if you are too!
