Meet John, a dedicated personal trainer who is passionate about helping clients build a solid foundation of fitness that lasts a lifetime. With his background in mixed martial arts and strength training, John will be your experienced guide, introducing you to new movement patterns and helping you avoid the pitfalls of injuries.

Favorite thing about the job: "I love that I can help people build a solid foundation of fitness that carries on for the rest of their lives - allowing them to do the things they love with the people they love. That makes it worth it."

Tip for starting a new fitness goal: "Make sure you have an experienced guide in your corner from the start. Someone who can point out the (many) imbalances of the human body. I did not, and had to learn the hard way (injury after injury)."

Client expectations: "Expect to be doing movement patterns you’ve never done before. Squat, dead, bench are good - but I try and emphasize the muscles behind those muscles, so you can properly get into the right position and allow the correct muscles to activate."

​

For fun: "I’d like to say I love the outdoors (to sound interesting) but I much prefer my own bed to a tent! I like to read, and I enjoy titillating theological/psychological conversation over coffee. I enjoy exercise, cauliflower pizza, and minimalist shoes!"

Little-known fact: "I’m a decent drummer & used to be in a hardcore/metal band many moons ago!"
